The Purpose

Where Your Money Can Help

  • Emergency Food Parcel supporting the poorest families for up to a month £20. Often the Trust comes across families that are unable to feed themselves more than once a day. A food parcel will help people in this situation to keep going.

  • Essential home based care kit used by locally trained carers £40. Home Based Care kits are an invaluable resource for locally trained carers trying to combat HIV–AIDS in their community. Each kit contains essential medications such as painkillers, Vaseline, gloves, bandages and creams.

  • Support and Equipment for pre–schools and safe parks supported by BST. Safe Parks are containers specifically used for children in the poorest communities. These are safe places for children to go to before and after school where they can do their homework, play and have a nutritious meal provided.

  • Provide a nutritious meal for up to 5 children whose parents have died of HIV–AIDS £5. Pre–school is often the only place that young children affected by HIV–AIDS are able to get a decent meal.

  • Life changing interactive theatre performances and drama workshops for older teenagers whose lives have been devestated by the loss of their parents. Interactive Theatre is a powerful way of getting the HIV–AIDS prevention message across to young people. The performers act out a number of scenarios that show how the choices we make can affect our health.

  • Development and construction of a Safe Park £3,000. Safe parks provide a safe and secure environment for children in areas of incredible poverty. These places allow the children to come along before and after school where they also can be provided with a nutritious meal.
